Jane's lovely candy .....

To celebrate her blog turning a year old, Jane is giving away this beautiful candy!!!

I have had the greatest pleasure of meeting and watching Jane work at RWS crop on a Saturday!!! Jane's cards are just beautiful!!!!!

So hop on over to Jane's blog, Jane's Lovely Cards, to be in with a chance!

Just Magnolia #45

The challenge at Just Magnolia this week is to make a tent card! A tutorial is given!

On Saturday at RWS crop Jane, brought in lots of lovely ribbon to share out among us!!!

(((((THANKS JANE)))))

I have used some of the lace on the top of this card!!!

I made my own background by stamping a flower flourish randomly!

And I also decorated the back, had no other choice really, lol!!!!

This is what I came up with!!! I sat Tilda on a key rather than hang her from the top of the oval!

Magnolia-licious Highlites - March

This the wonderful sketch on by the wonderful Jacque Beddingfield on Magnolia-licious Highlites blog this month!

Here is the card that I made for my Mum for Mother's Day!

I decided since Tilda was wax sealing, I would cut her out and place her on a small envelope to seal! It's hard to see but I coated the wax "pencil" and blob of wax in glossy accents, to give a shiny look! I also crunched up the envelope and swiped an ink pad across it!!! Notice no flowers???

Sympathy Card

One of Steve's past friends died recently! Steve asked me to make a sympathy card for him to send to his wife!!! I got into a little bit of a state as I didn't have a stamp that would do! So I decided to wait until I went to Running With Scissors crop! Lorraine came to my rescue and lent me this beautiful Lily stamp!

The stamp originally had a boarder going around the outside, but I didn't like it so I cropped in close to the flower! I like sympathy cards to be very simple! So a little embossing, matting and layering and some ribbon! The patterned paper has very faint flowers on it!

Recipe

Card base - Running with Scissors
Embossing powder - Running with Scissors
Patterned paper - given to me by Tracey ages ago, thanks!
Stamp - oops - can't remember - but lent to me by Lorraine, thanks so much!!!!
Ribbon - Running with Scissors

Spring has sprung at long last .....

I took the following 2 photos a few weeks ago ....

mmmh think I need to do some weeding *blush*

The following planter is an old water feature that a neighbour was leaving out for the bin men, I rescued it but asked before hand and she kindly offered me the pump to go with it, I said oh no I just want the tub, she looked at me very strangely, I told her I wanted to put plants in there, lol I have an idea in my head that I will have seasonal flowers in the smaller plant places and my lilies which seem to bloom forever behind them, well that is the idea! Between Skye and I they don't stand much of a chance!

I have also some lilies planted in there too, in the bigger area, hopefully Skye hasn't destroyed them, she likes to jump into it, arggghhh!!!!

I went out this morning and saw that my crocuses had started to bloom!!! It is the first time that I have planted spring flowers, fingers crossed Skye will leave them alone!!!!
