Bauble Challenge!

I set a challenge on Running With Scissors Forum to alter a bauble! Alter it whatever way you want and you have a month to do it!!!!

These are the baubles that I chose! I left some in the shop for players. If they had run out and people still wished to play all they had to do is buy a bauble and alter it. If you would like to play then just alter a bauble, join Running with Scissors and upload your photo of your bauble after the last day of January!

I used a coffee jar to hold them in place while I altered them!

This one just had a Merry Christmas ribbon glued around the middle (sort of) and some stickles glitter wavy lines drawn around it!

As the ribbon didn't quite meet in the middle and overlapping the ribbon wouldn't look right, I glued a snowflake with a red sequin middle on!

This did not turn out how I wanted!!!! I should of put my white fluffy stuff on the top and the silver sequins on the bottom! It looks okay on the tree though!

I used my Christmas Flower Fairy for this one, and just simply glued her in place! I also added two snowflakes at either side!

This is the back of the Christmas Fairy bauble! I also drilled a hole in the bottom with a pokey tool and threaded some red elastic thread through the middle and added a flower spacer with some glass crystals added to it! A blob of glossy accents on the bottom to hold it all in place.

This is my second favourite! Simply drew lines of silver stickles and added some iridescent flower/snowflake sequins with crystals in the middle.

This is my favourite! Took awhile to do!!! I drilled a hole in the bottom with my pokey tool! I took the cap off the bauble and threaded a chain link through it! I then added a jump ring to the top and threaded some gold ribbon through the cap and jump ring to hold it in place. I made some small charms and added them to the chain with a heart charm at the bottom. I glued some green ribbon around the middle and added some flower/snowflake sequins with crystals in the middle!

MMh I don't know what happened to this, lol! Kind of got carried away with the white flower/snowflake sequins and stickles, lol!

Christmas card for 2010 #1

Here I am sticking to my resoultion, making Christmas cards through out the year!!!

I followed a sketch by Aud S. Nordheim on Firday Sketchers blog! Used my Tim Holtz distress inks and some scraps that I had lying around!

Friday Sketchers Christmas blog hop challenge!

Claudia set up this challenge:-

Part one the challenge:-

Follow a fantastic sketch by Claudia

This is mine!

I rotated the sketch and used an image that I stamped from Nicki's stamp (thanks Nicki)
I coloured with Tim Holtz Distress inks, used some stickles, and fluffy stuff!
Oh I and I did some hand sewing! Put in some rick rack! I added a silver snowflake which is actually a present sticker that I found in Matalan in the sales for a set of 24 for a £1 can't go wrong!!!

I did get the inspiration for this card from Claudia's own sample card, hers is simply stunning!

Part 2 the blog hop "Quote -

Just follow the hop and leave a comment on each DT member's blog for a chance to win their prize and don't forget to link your own card using the sketch here on the Friday Sketcher blog.

The hop starts here at the Friday Sketchers Blog and continues as follows:

I recently found these stamps called Ollyfant Stamps, aren't they cute! The set that I got included a little girl, a cat and the above images. Coloured with Tim Holtz inks, Prima flowers and a crystal! I found the alpha stamps made by Papermania in Staples of all places!

Same but different challenge -January

This is a challenge that I set up on Running with Scissors

Its where everyone gets the same items to make a layout/card/alter something, etc whatever the host decides!

This is the pack I sent out!

And this is what I came up with!

As the paper is just soo stunning I didn't add alot else as I love the photo and the paper and didn't want to cover them up in anyway!!!

So I just added crystals and a title!
