Girls .....

just want to have fun!

I have made this layout for a Challenge called 1,2,3,4,5 on Pages In Time Forum. I needed to use -

1--- piece of patterned paper
2---photos in your layout
3---(at least) lines of journaling
4---round eyelets or brads
5---letters in one of the words from your title

Most of the requirements are pretty obvious, but the brads are a little lost, there are four flower brads around the big flower.

These are photos from Aimee's 6th birthday party, and as I am very aware of children's photos being posted on line without permission, I have blanked out the children's faces, (except for Aimee's cousin Georgia). Aimee's best friend Milly is in the green top beside her, she was so worried incase Milly didn't turn up and her face was beaming when she saw Milly arrive! I had asked the girls to pose and this is what they came up with!!! The second photo is of Aimee just having a good time, hence the title!!!! Girls just want to have fun!

What I used

Cardstock - Some pink card I had lying around!
PP - Basic Grey - Gypsy - Archangel - Running with Scissors
Flowers - Large pink Bazzill - collection of rose buds Running with scissors!
Title - Silver Glitter card - Running with scissors - Font - cut from Craft Robo
Stamps - Prima Journal Frames - Running with Scissors
Ink - Around the edges of everything - Tim Holtz - Worn Lipstick
Paper Doily - Sainsburys

Father's Day ...

WARNING A LONG TALE OF WOE .......

What a horrible 3 weeks I have had ..... my college course is coming to an end, so trying to get all the last minute assignments and work handed in .... then to top that on my teacher training day on the first of June, I went and sprained my knee (found out on Thursday this is what I have done, d'oh). I was opening a deadbolt on the bottom of a door, and when I went to stand up I twisted my knee, hear it pop!!!! Me being me struggled on through out the day and the rest of the week too!!! Then on the Saturday, I stood up wrong and twisted it again, now that one really hurt, by Sunday morning both my knee and my ankle swelled up!!! Went to the doctors and she gave me some inflammatories and the sexist support tights you have ever seen .... NOT .... it went from the top of my thigh to my toes!!!! Anyways since I had a college observation I went back on Wednesday instead of staying off and resting it, (when will I ever learn). So I struggled on for the rest of the week. Then on Monday while at school, the pain was really intense so I went to the business manager/HR (yeah I wrote that correctly, all schools have these) and told her that I wanted to self certify for the rest of the week. So I have been at home with my feet up .... going absolutely banana's .... as I couldn't find a comfortable position to do any crafting, read my latest book in the first day tried to watch tv, but my oh my day time tv is bad ... wasn't interested in the movies they were playing! Anyways, went back to the doctors on Thursday as I couldn't bend my knee without being in extreme pain couldn't drive, as I did that on Monday and I was so close to crying in pain, so I took the bus. The doctor examined my knee and said I had a severe knee sprain, which footballers, gymnastics, tennis players, etc get a lot due to the twisting and turning they do on their feet! He signed me off for another week, with the warning to take it easy, especially when I go back to work!

So that leads my to today, where at last I can sit and do some crafting, yeah, yeah, yeah!!!!

Love you so

I have made this layout for Steve for Father's day!!!
I love this photo of the three of them!

The page is made up mainly from Tracey's Kit from her shop!

I cut around the swirls and inked the edges with distress ink along with the edge of the paper.

The journaling tag is from a kit that I have had for ages! It was a Cosmic Cricket kit both from QVC! I cut the white border from the tag, and inked it up with distress ink! Then wiped it off again with a baby wipe as it was very dark! I then added a few tares and pearls. I did the same with the titles!

I was going to dye the white lace, but when I put it on, it looked good so I left it alone!

Did you see the cute little owl???? hehehe and also the little fairy????? These aren't meant to stand out at all!!!

And a close up of the charms

Shopping List

Love the way U smile

As I have said in a previous post, Chloe hasn't smiled properly for photos since getting her braces, on Easter Sunday I managed to snap this beautiful shot of Chloe. I brought the photo with me to Tracey's Time for U Crop, but the papers and cardstock I had picked out just weren't talking to me. Then last night as I was checking my bloglines I saw that Ruth has set up a challenge blog for vintage layouts called A Vintage Affair. So of course I had to go check it out. And the first challenge was to lift the following page

[Music_LO.JPG]

I thought Yeah, that could work, so the following page happened. I actually do have journaling on the journaling block hidden behind the photo, which just basically says how I miss Chloe's beautiful smile and I am so happy to see it back. As you can see typical of me, I followed Ruth's layout as near as possible as I could. Need to break out of that habit, lol

Please do go check out A Vintage Affair, as I am sure it is going to be very popular once the word gets around.

What I used:

Die Cuts With A View - Old World Stack - Textured Paper
Prima Painterly Petals
Papermania pearl brad (Ireland)
Vintage Lace
Crystals
The journlaing block and title - Bo Bunny's A gift of love cut out sheet (part of Tracey's April kit)
Tim Holtz Burshed Corduroy Distress Ink
Heart Charm

All bought at Tracey's shop unless otherwise stated.

Magical Moments ....

What do you think??? Not my usual style, huh? and I didn't use a sketch. I have found bucket loads of inspiration from Paulien van den Bosch's blog, if you haven't been do go, she is such an amazing crafter. I have wanted to do a page like this for ages, but was too afraid that it wouldn't look right, as in my pages there are usually very few embellishments. But with this page, because obviously Chloe is dressed as Tinkerbell I threw everything at it except the kitchen sink. I don't think my page is anywhere as good as Paulien's but I am quite proud of it as a first attempt. Oh and I added Stickles to Chloe's wings in the 3 photos, something I had never done, I usually leave the photos alone, some inking and maybe a little distressing on the edges but the actual photos I don't touch.

Chloe actually likes the final result, whoooo whooo

When I first started this page I started it at the Crop 4 U run by Tracey at her shop on Friday afternoons, the page was my usual style. Last night I started it again and the above layout just happened, lol, well it was about 2:00 am when I finished it. The ladies at the crop wanted to see the finished layout. LOL they are going to get some surprise.

For the story and some more photos of the story behind Chloe dressed as Tinkerbell go HERE!

And just a few close up shots of all the charms on the layout.

And of course a close up of Tinkerbell, the real one!

Princess crown, silver heart with circles underneath, made with love and princess and fairy images, these were bought at a Craft warehouse by Tracey and there is no makers name on them, a little tip for you, if you are lucky enough to live near Tracey's shop, look on the counter near the till, there is a box full of charms, mmmmhhhh

I think that's it, but if you spot something and I haven't it listed, please let me know and I will find out. Again all bought from Tracey's shop unless I have stated otherwise
