ATC Swap - May 2010

Here is the ATC that I made for May's swap over on RWS forum - the theme was wording!



I coloured this cute little puppy that I got free with PaperCraft Essentials Magazine, he is just sooo cute! I used some of my NEW distress reinkers! Wild Honey and Barn Door, I used black soot to enhance his black nose and I put on some Anita's 3-D Clear Gloss, to give his nose a wet look!

Question for you - how do you store your re-inkers??? I am looking for a metal children's paint set, that I can pop out the paints and put a couple of drops of re-inkers in! I can't find one for love or money, all they seem to have are plastic ones!!!

The wording is from Dimensions craft, the swirls are cut from Cuttlebug folder Ornamental and red Bazzill cardstock.
I used a Prima flower with a Mark Richards crystal!
I then inked the edges with Vintage photo!
The paper I just don't know where that came from, have had it for ages, I am going to be a good girl and TRY to use up all my papers and stash before I buy new papers, IT'S SOOO HARD as so many new lines and pretty papers come out all the time!!!

All the above were bought at Running with Scissors with the exception of Anita's 3-D gloss which was bought in Boyes. The paper I haven't got a clue!

Wings 'n' Things ATC

This was the theme for March's swap in Paper Paradise forum!!!

Well here is my one, come on what else would I pick!!!!

In this shot I have tried to show the bling!!!!

I used my avatar image and cut it out! I Used Rangers Stickles Crystal for blinging Tink and her wings.

While waiting for that to dry.

I glued the backing paper that I picked out to cardstock using a normal glue stick!

I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz Shabby Shutters and Mustard Seed ink pads!

I then got some white cardstock and blended Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick. I stamped the wording "Do you believe in fairies?" (which you can't see too good) using a cheap stamp set from Lidl. I used Stickles on the wording!



I then glued Tinkerbell to the backing paper! Ages ago when ASDA were selling off some Christmas Decorations cheap, I bought some Christmas confetti, I have attempted to use the stars and circles to mimic pixie dust in a beam around Tinkerbell!

I used Antia's tacky glue and a thoothpick to glue these in place, finally I used more Stickles around the edge of the card!!!

MMMh April's theme is "Bling It", I wonder if I am all blingged out, lol!!!

My ATC

For the February swap in Paper Paradise the theme was Passion and Love. Here is my effort!


Image and journaling printed on photo paper, backing paper stamped with a faint leaf design! Matting paper was made using Whispers brown ink pad and Crafty Individuals CI - 017 stamp, and distressed around the edges with Tim Holtz Antique photo ink pad the Image was also distressed. Then all glued down!

July ATC Swap

Here is my swap for July. The theme was Sewing.


I searched Google for free sewing patterns, I found this pattern for dolls clothes, downloaded and printed off the pattern picture. I then cut it down to size.

I then searched for sewing sayings - I picked this one as it relates to all crafts. "Sewing and crafts fill my day not to mention the living-room, bedroom and closets". I printed the saying in size 10 font. I trimmed around the saying.

I then glued both the image and the saying to an ATC card using a glue stick.

Distressed both with Tim Holtz Vintage photo ink pad.

To cover the join between the two, I hand sewed with gold thread.

I then hand sewed 3 buttons onto the card using the same gold thread.

June's ATC Swap

Here is my ATC for June's swap at Paper Paradise


It mightn't look it, but a lot went into it, I made 7 in total.

First of all I didn't want to make any of the cliches, time flies, time is precious etc.

Aimee and me were singing nursery rhymes walking home from school, and Aimee picked this one, so I thought it might make a good ATC.

I coloured some cream card with Tim Holtz antique linen and antique photo. Then made a template of a grandfather clock. Cut out all the shapes to layer them. The clock face is a pocket watch stamp embossed in gold on a platinum background. A circle cut out of the first layer of the clock. Acetate placed at the back, stuck the clock face underneath and then stuck to the back layer.

The body of the clock is done by having two layers of card, with a rectangle window cut out of the top layer, a gold brad and a length of gold peel off. Acetate stuck under the window layer, foam pads to raise it, stuck to the bottom layer, a gold circle peel of for the handle.

The base made of two pieces of card cut to shape with foam pads under the first layer. Mouse stamped with versamark and embossed with silver.

The rhyme stamped out and cut separately, with green ink stamped lightly over the words.

The background paper was a scrap piece I had left over, can't remember the name, stuck to an ATC card.

Face of clock stuck to background using foam pads, body stuck straight down, bottom layer of base stuck straight down, top layer stuck with foam pads with body sandwiched in between. Mouse stuck down with foam pads. Words placed randomly and glued down.

Quite a lot for a little card!!!!!

Got my ATC done, not 'till 2.00 am on Friday night!! Not one of my best, but with crafter's block I thought I done good!! Can't wait to see what I get back in the swap will post a pic of it.

Any comments (good or bad) would be nice.
